Twitter deleted more than 10,000 automated accounts posting and sharing messages discouraging from taking part in the upcoming US election. 

Most of these accounts are posing as Democrats, Twitter said.

It's been reported that Twitter deleted those automated accounts that sending and sharing misinformation messages according to a report from Reuters.  "We took action on relevant accounts and activity on Twitter," the social media company said. 

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, or DCCC, a group that supports Democrats running for the U.S. election, developed its own system for recognizing and publishing malicious bot accounts on social media.

Twitter has been working to fight against fake accounts. It's been said that Twitter previously deleted millions of accounts it ascertained were responsible for spreading misinformation of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.
